The Actor’s Advantage is a collective of actors, comedians, independent film makers, acting teachers, writers and film festival directors. Our goal is to make an actor’s journey more efficient by getting you directly in front of casting directors and agents. You will have the opportunity to show them your work as opposed to being another 8 X10 photo in a pile. We provide a safe environment for actors to re-create the audition process and learn to feel comfortable in making the most creative choices for that particular scene.

A main factor that separates us from other workshops is that ours are held in an actual casting office, with all reads done in a private one on one setting with only you ( a scene partner if the casting director has paired you up), and the casting director in the room at the time of your read. Every actor will be given confidential feedback from each individual CD on their performance, stage presence, headshots and overall presentation.

We bring in LA’s top Casting Directors, agents and managers for showcases. We also provide workshops taught by LA’s top Casting Directors and acting teachers.

Our showcases are designed for actors who want to get out there and work, and give them the opportunity to get in front of the right people.

Requirements:
Depending on your acting experience, you may need to audition to participate in one of our showcases.

Audition:
The single most important aspect of any audition process is making a solid creative choice and committing to it throughout the scene. You will be emailed a scene and asked to come in prior to a showcase and perform.
